Mädchenitaliener: Fresh Pasta in Berlin-Mitte for Over Two Decades

The small but refined menu consists of popular classics with a twist and seasonal creations. Above all, Mädchenitaliener is known for freshly prepared pasta creations from its mini-kitchen, including Tagliatelle al Limone with lemon butter and gambas, as well as Tagliatelle Rustica with bresaola, fresh and dried tomatoes, capers, olives, and arugula. Particularly popular are the tagliatelle with fresh figs and fennel salami, and the Tagliatelle al Tartufo, which leaves the intense aroma of truffle lingering throughout the restaurant for minutes afterward.

Seasonal daily specials are also offered at a large table, such as tagliatelle with lemon butter and asparagus or ravioli filled with goat cheese. If you need something before your pasta: appetizers include burrata, olives, and antipasti. To finish, a Vin Santo, an Italian dessert wine, with Cantuccini or ricotta with honeycomb and sourdough bread is recommended.

In the small restaurant, office workers from the area gather for lunch and groups of friends for dinner. Outside, you sit prominently on Alte Schönhauser Straße, where there’s always plenty to see.
