The Galleria Italiana is not one of the typical Italian restaurants in town and hardly seems to fit into the hip and trendy Torstrasse. The restaurant welcomes its guests with a friendly, family atmosphere upon entering. The very authentic small restaurant that is rather inconspicuous from the outside has painted walls in warm colors and only about 10 wooden tables.
The charming team of chef and waiters swirls around the Restaurant. On offer is homemade pasta, friendly service, a lively atmosphere and a small but fine menu. No matter if delicious pasta, fish or meat: Everything is freshly prepared in the small kitchen. Solely Pizza is not served in this Trattoria. The Galleria Italiana is particularly popular among its regular guests. They celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries here, too. From time to time there is a starter or a dessert “on the house”. Here, guests enjoy an excellent, unpretentious Pasta with friends.
The menu includes pasta dishes such as spaghetti carbonara with shaved truffles or ravioli with sage butter. A hit is, next to the pasta, the appetizer platter with cheese, ham, salami and dried tomatoes or the homemade Italian desserts like tiramisu or panna cotta. After a dinner accompanied by fine wines at Galleria Italiana visitors head home happily and elatedly.
