Allan’s Breakfast Club & Wine Bar: Brunch and Rosé in Kollwitzkiez

At Rykestraße 13, you’ll find brunch that doesn’t feel run-of-the-mill. Allan’s Breakfast Club & Wine Bar, affectionately called ABC by regulars, has been located in Prenzlauer Berg’s Kollwitzkiez since 2015 and bears the signature of its founder Allan, who, after years as a sommelier and restaurant professional, brought breakfast culture and a wine bar under one roof. The result is a café with a relaxed holiday vibe, but with a view of Berlin’s cobblestones.

The menu is concise but well-thought-out. Classics like Eggs Benedict and Croque Monsieur stand alongside more creative dishes such as kimchi cheese waffles or Turkish Eggs. The Eggs Benny on sourdough are particularly praised, and on weekends, there’s also the Frenchamisu. For a lighter hunger, a plant-based Açaí Bowl is on the menu. Drinks largely revolve around rosé: the in-house ABC Rosé comes from Provence, accompanied by Mimosa, Frosé, and Aperol Spritz.

Atmosphere, Terrace, and that special ABC touch

A large counter, a long table in the middle, and turquoise tabletops create a relaxed atmosphere that never feels artificial. Dogs are welcome indoors and outdoors, and payment is exclusively in cash.

Reservations are recommended on weekends, otherwise, be prepared to wait. The terrace, however, makes waiting easier; in sunny weather, it’s the real highlight. Breakfast, brunch, and wine bar all in one spot in Kollwitzkiez: once you’ve experienced it, you’ll come back.
