Bavarian brewery in the middle of Tiergarten: Lindenbräu at Potsdamer Platz is located directly in the Center am Potsdamer Platz and combines alpine coziness with a big-city Berlin location. If you're looking for a beer garden in Berlin that also works in the rain, you'll find your spot here outdoors, indoors, and on the rooftop terrace.
Beer garden in Berlin with an alpine feel: Lindenbräu at Potsdamer Platz
With approximately 430 indoor seats on two floors and another 410 seats in the outdoor area from spring to autumn, Lindenbräu is one of the largest beer gardens in Berlin. Those sitting outside look directly into the forum of the Center am Potsdamer Platz. The rooftop terrace on the second floor offers a great view over the entire area. Service is provided at the tables; there is no self-service here.
The menu features Bavarian classics like pork knuckle or roast pork, Berlin specialties like Eisbein, and Austrian dishes such as Wiener Schnitzel or Kaiserschmarrn. Freshly tapped Hopfinger Organic Naturtrüb, brewed exclusively from organic ingredients, is also served. If you’re looking for an indoor highlight: the Lindenalm is a rustic alpine hut where guests can experience a real mountain thunderstorm while enjoying hearty delicacies.
Firmly rooted at Potsdamer Platz since 2000
Lindenbräu at Potsdamer Platz opened in February 2000, making it one of the longest-serving hosts in the area. There are also strong addresses in the neighborhood: the Brandenburg Gate is in the immediate vicinity, and the government district is perfect for a subsequent stroll.
