Spargel- und Erlebnishof Klaistow

The asparagus season at the Klaistow Asparagus and Adventure Farm begins with the season opening weekend on April 14, 2019, and lasts until June 24, St. John’s Day. With 800 hectares of asparagus fields, Klaistow Asparagus Farm is the largest asparagus grower in the Beelitz region and has also created a real adventure world with many activities and attractions centered around asparagus harvesting.

On the farm, you can not only buy field-fresh Beelitz asparagus during the asparagus season but also enjoy it at various locations. In the Hofrestaurant with a sun terrace, asparagus is served classically with schnitzel or ham, scrambled eggs, or asparagus ragout. Every Monday and Friday, from 17:00 to 21:00, there is a versatile and lavish asparagus buffet. In the Scheunenrestaurant, the healthy vegetable is available for self-service. Even in the farm bakery and farm shop, asparagus is available as asparagus-ham bread, asparagus ciabatta, or as asparagus liqueur for a high-proof indulgence.

However, the asparagus farm has long since become not just an agricultural operation, but also a popular excursion destination. For younger visitors, there is a large adventure playground with a mini-jeep course for little rangers, a giant slide, and a water playground (don’t forget spare clothes!). Goats and sheep graze in a petting meadow and can be stroked, and fallow deer can be observed on a forest nature trail in the wildlife enclosure.

Those who want to take a look behind the scenes can participate in the free farm tours on weekends. There, you’ll learn everything about the journey of asparagus – from the field to the plate. A highlight is May 5, 2019, when the annual grand Klaistow Asparagus Festival is celebrated at the Klaistow Asparagus Farm.
