The Cruise In American Diner in Berlin-Spandau looks like it's taken straight from a 60s road movie.
Located in the heart of Spandau, the Cruise In American Diner offers a small journey back in time to 60s America, both musically and culinarily. The menu features sandwiches, hot dogs, and baked potatoes. The Cruise In has been a popular meeting spot for Berlin’s rock and rollers for years, probably for this very reason. Bikers also like to take a break during the season to treat themselves to a juicy giant burger and choose a fluffy milkshake from the 16 available flavors. The “Ami-Brunch” (American Brunch) is popular on Saturdays and Sundays!
At irregular intervals, there are fantastic live rock concerts. The Cruise In also gladly serves as a location for music videos. And a note for architecture fans: The unusual 12-sided (!) building was designed in 1964/65 by architect Norman Köster as a sales pavilion for the Berlin-Keramik company and is considered an example of modern 60s architecture in Berlin.
