Schloss Neuhardenberg (Neuhardenberg Castle) in the Lakeland Oder – Spree belongs to the Stiftung Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation, which organizes an extensive cultural program of theater performances, readings, concerts, talks and exhibitions every year. The hotel and the restaurants of Schloss Neuhardenberg accompany the cultural events throughout the year with special arrangements tailored to the program of accommodation, culture and culinary delights.

Neuhardenberg Castle Ensemble includes the castle itself, the castle park, which is one of the most beautiful in Germany, the former coach house, where the hotel is now housed, the former distillery, today the homestead, the Orangerie, two cavalier houses and its own church named after its builder Schinkel Church. The well-known Prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781 – 1841) was also the one who rebuilt the castle in 1820 and created today’s neoclassical form.

In addition to the diverse cultural highlights in the packed calendar of events of the castle, Schloss Neuhardenberg offers a variety of recreational opportunities. In addition to cultural events, the foundation also excursions and hikes in the scenic surroundings of the Lakeland Oder-Spree.

A spa area for massages, a sauna, a steam bath and a modern gym are also available. The Hotel Schloss Neuhardenberg has 56 elegant, modern and generously sized rooms and suites.

Gastronomically, the “Landgasthaus Brennerei” serves contemporary interpretations of regional dishes from the Mark Brandenburg, accompanied by draught beer and wine by the glass. The kitchen focuses on regional products such as sheep cheese, grazing on the castle meadows in the summer, jam from the Uckermark or meat from Galloway beef from the neighboring village of Gorgast. Many of the herbs and fine root vegetables come from the castle garden. In good weather, the sheltered terrace in the distillery courtyard opens. Exclusive events include the Orangerie and the Lenné room in the castle.

Schloss Neuhardenberg was honored as a “Certified Green Hotel” for sustainable and forward-looking hotels. Scenic Neuhardenberg is located about 70 km east of Berlin city center and 30 km west of the German-Polish border in the lake district Oder-Spree in Brandenburg.
