Immersed in a wonderful light spectacle, the ice rink at Winterquartier offers weather-independent ice skating in Berlin-Friedrichshain on approximately 1,000 m² of covered real ice. The offerings are rounded off by an ice disco on Saturdays, curling lanes, and a winter market directly at Ostkreuz.

The Berghain is located in a district heating plant from 1953, which the operators bought themselves in 2010. There are 18 meters of air above the dance floor, the sound is provided by four Funktion-One towers, and upstairs in the Panorama Bar, house plays instead of techno. Among Berlin's techno clubs, this one has the toughest door, as cameras are taped over and there are no mirrors.

Friseur Kaiserschnitt at Wühlischstraße 34 has been cutting hair for years between Boxhagener Platz and Warschauer Straße, making a name for itself in the neighborhood, especially with precise bangs and work on natural curls. The salon is run by Magdalena Held; appointments are made by phone, and the salon deliberately does not publish a price list.

Hot Yoga at around 38 degrees Celsius, plus Vinyasa, Yin, and Forrest Yoga in an unheated room: Mahalaya is located in the Schreibfeder Höfe on Boxhagener Straße in Friedrichshain and also trains Hot Yoga teachers itself.

The Floating Lounge is located on a moored ship in the Spree, twenty meters from the East Side Gallery, with a view of the Oberbaumbrücke. Depending on the setup, it can be booked exclusively for 20 to 120 people; the indoor area is heated and weather-protected. As a birthday venue in Friedrichshain, it operates year-round.

In the Simon Dach quarter of Friedrichshain, a mother and her son have run a Breton creperie since 2011, using buckwheat flour from a mill in Brittany. The cheese comes from a French cheese boutique in Prenzlauer Berg and the coffee from a Berlin roastery. The menu covers savoury galettes and sweet crepes, plus a vegan version.

On the old open-air stage in Volkspark Friedrichshain, around 1,500 guests sit on benches with backrests, 300 more at bistro tables, plus a sunbathing lawn. Laser projection, an induction loop, and about 300 free fleece blankets are provided, and the programme ranges from cinema favorites and classics to original versions with subtitles.

Volkspark Friedrichshain is Berlin's first municipal park, laid out from 1846 according to a design by Gustav Meyer, and with 53 hectares, it remains one of the largest. In the Neuer Hain area, there is one of the city's few official barbecue areas, for which a pitch must be reserved online in advance. Barbecuing is prohibited in the rest of the park.

Right by Warschauer Straße station lies the city's most famous karaoke bar. Behind the illuminated sign, an open stage and fourteen private booths for four to sixteen people await, along with drag and dance shows and unique formats like Boxhopping. The small booth costs 20 Euros per hour, admission from 21 years with ID.
