Mahalaya Berlin Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga at around 38 degrees Celsius, plus Vinyasa, Yin, and Forrest Yoga in an unheated room: Mahalaya is located in the Schreibfeder Höfe on Boxhagener Straße in Friedrichshain and also trains Hot Yoga teachers itself.

Mahalaya Berlin Hot Yoga: Hot Yoga in the Schreibfeder Höfe

Mahalaya is located in the second courtyard of the Schreibfeder Höfe on Boxhagener Straße, in the listed halls of a former writing pen factory. Started in 2012 as a pure Bikram studio, the studio moved here in 2021 and has since had two rooms: one heated to around 38 degrees for Hot Yoga and one unheated for quieter classes, workshops, and trainings. In the entrance area, there is a small shop with yoga clothing and mats.

The classic Hot Yoga series with 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises continues to form the core of the timetable. In addition, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Pilates, and Meditation are offered. Most classes are in German, some in English. Separate changing rooms with showers make it easy to continue your day directly after a strenuous hour.

Workshops, Sound Journeys, and its Own Training Program

In addition to the regular program, the team organizes workshops, retreats, and sound journeys, as well as individual treatments. Those who want to teach themselves can complete a Hot Yoga teacher training at Mahalaya. To get started, there is a starter offer with ten days of unlimited yoga for 30 Euros, after which a single class costs 21 Euros. Rental mats are available for 3 Euros, but a large towel should still be in your bag for the hot classes.
