The ice rink at Winterquartier is located on Modersohnstraße in Berlin-Friedrichshain, on the premises of the Napoleon Komplex between Ostkreuz and Warschauer Straße. Those arriving by public transport can reach the grounds in a few minutes on foot from S-Bahnhof Ostkreuz or S+U Warschauer Straße. There are no private parking spaces available on the railway grounds, which is why the operator explicitly recommends arriving by bus and train. The ice surface itself is located in a large, old industrial hall, which unfolds its very special charm mainly through the wonderful lighting and makes ice skating possible even in rain, snow, or frost.

Ice Skating, Ice Disco, and Bavarian Curling at Winterquartier

On approximately 1,000 m² of real ice, guests at Winterquartier can skate their rounds without having to worry about the weather. The 2026/27 season starts on November 6th and runs until the end of February. The rink remains closed on Mondays, opens at 14:00 from Tuesday to Friday, and already at 10:00 on weekends. Admission is valid for a 90-minute slot and starts at 6.00 Euros, the rental fee for ice skates is 5.00 Euros. Skating aids are available for children and beginners, and families and school classes receive special rates. Every Saturday, the ice disco transforms the area between 18:00 and 22:00 into a dance floor with music and light effects. Curling lanes are also available for groups and teams, two of which are real ice lanes inside the hall and one PVC lane outdoors. Those who want to warm up in between will find food and drinks at the winter market around the hall.
