The restaurant serves - true to its style - traditional Berlin-style cuisine.

In Nikolaikirchplatz during Advent, only one film is shown: “Die Feuerzangenbowle” with Heinz Rühmann from 1943, approximately 90 minutes long. It is screened in a wooden house equipped with armchairs, sofas, and blankets. Among Berlin's winter leisure activities, this has the lowest barrier: admission is free.

Local lore tell us that a lady called Mutter Hoppe ("Mother Hoppe") worked as a charitable inn-keep around the turn of the century in Berlin's Nikolaiviertel.

Since 1992, the family-run Georgbraeu brewery on the Spree riverbank in the Nikolaiviertel has been brewing its unfiltered light and dark beers according to the German Purity Law, plus seasonal beers from Maibock to Pale Ale. Both standard varieties are only available here at the brewery. Among Berlin's breweries, it boasts the most beautiful terrace by the water, along with Eisbein and Haxe from the kitchen.
