Hip-Hop Dancing in Berlin-Neukölln: What’s Behind Groove in Focus?
Groove in Focus is a dance school in Berlin-Neukölln specializing in Hip-Hop and Afro-Dance for adults. It was founded by Eric Dodji, who designed the school around authentic movement, creative freedom, and personal development through dance. The result: an atmosphere that clearly differs from traditional dance schools.
The classes take place at Musikfabrik in Berlin-Neukölln, a bright, professionally equipped dance studio with an open, supportive atmosphere. The focus is on passion, emotions, and authenticity. A deep connection to music is particularly encouraged, allowing participants to fully express themselves and their feelings through dance. You notice it immediately upon entering the room: no one has to hide, no one has to be perfect.
The experienced instructors are experts in street dance, from Hip-Hop to Popping, as well as African dance styles. So, if you think a Hip-Hop dance school in Berlin just means memorizing choreographies, you’re wrong here. Whether it’s weekly dance classes, freestyle training, or community events: movement and genuine connection belong together here.

Group and Private Lessons
