In Lichtenberg, on Wartenbergstraße, Labyrintoom awaits with four themed rooms: The Wizard's Cabinet, The Cube's Cabinet, Leonardo da Vinci's Cabinet, and Mind Arena. While the first three are classic escape room formats for two to six people, Mind Arena stands out as a competitive format for two teams – making Labyrintoom a destination for teambuilding and corporate events far beyond a regular escape room visit.
Lichtenberg, Where You Least Expect It
Those looking for an escape room in Berlin usually think of Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg first. However, the trip to Lichtenberg is much more worthwhile: Labyrintoom is located at Wartenbergstraße 35/36 – and anyone navigating to the address for the first time should know that a metal gate conceals the entrance. The location is well hidden behind such a metal access gate. However, that’s almost part of the player experience. The premises themselves are understated; the focus is entirely on what happens behind them. Moreover, all game rooms are now air-conditioned, which is not an insignificant detail, especially during the Berlin summer.
Four Rooms, One Concept: Labyrintoom from the Inside
Inside, the four themed rooms share a common philosophy. Solving the puzzles in the “Labyrinth Cabinets” requires not only logical thinking but also imagination and intuition. Particularly striking: Compared to other escape room providers, completely different puzzle types are used here – classic numeric codes and locks play hardly any role. Instead, the challenges lie not only in their difficulty but also in their discoverability.
The Wizard’s Cabinet transports you into the dark chambers of a wizard, where up to six players must use all their talent to escape this magical room. The Cube’s Cabinet strikes a completely different tone: everything is white and geometric – walls, ceiling, floor, cubes. Cold and seemingly without special features. Only the cleverest exit game fans will find a way out here. Leonardo da Vinci’s Cabinet, in turn, sends teams into the ingenious imaginative worlds of the old master, where secret codes and ominous signs await – and da Vinci uses all his universal scholarship to confuse and impress.
Mind Arena: Escape Room as a Competition
The fourth format is conceptually a category of its own. The Mind Arena is a special kind of teambuilding and creative event: up to six teams play against each other for points, with the goal of opening as many chests as possible within a certain time. The game was specifically developed for groups of six to 35 people, allowing larger groups to participate in a game together without having to be split up. Possible occasions range from company outings and Christmas parties to use as an assessment center tool. Those booking only the classic escape room formats pay from 70 Euros, and for late appointments, from 55 Euros. The Mind Arena starts from 19 Euros per person.
