World-class craftsmanship: In Lichterfelde, Enrico Piccin has been producing uncompromising gelato since 2019. Natural ingredients, unique flavors, and an international competition placement make Artigiani Eis arguably Berlin's most serious gelateria.

Artigiani Eis: When Craftsmanship Becomes a Philosophy

The name says it all. „Artigiani” means „craftsmen” in German – and that’s the ethos here. Owner Enrico Piccin has been producing outstanding ice cream from purely natural ingredients since 2019. He consistently avoids anything that doesn’t belong in the glass. Everything is handmade and free of artificial colors or flavors – with vanilla beans from Tahiti, vegan dark chocolate from Jamaica, and mangoes from India. The hazelnuts from Piedmont are freshly processed on-site into a fine paste. This creates trendy ice cream that doesn’t rely on appearance but convinces with genuine taste.

World Finals Las Vegas, Daily in Lichterfelde

That Artigiani is known far beyond Berlin’s ice cream scene is evidenced by a remarkable award. At the Gelato Festival World Masters final in Las Vegas, Piccin’s creation „Mediterraneo” secured 11th place. This special ice cream flavor consists of milk ice cream with a rosemary infusion, combined with lemon and a slightly spicy olive oil. So, for those who are brave, this is the flavor to try. If you prefer something more classic, Artigiani Eis also has you covered: alongside traditional flavors like vanilla and stracciatella, unique creations such as „Flower Honey-Walnut-Cinnamon” are on the menu – and for the adventurous, the olive oil with rosemary ice cream. Vegan options are also available: fruit sorbets like fresh raspberry or organic lemon, and dark chocolate with 73 % cocoa from Peru. There are now two locations: at Schlachtensee and Unter den Eichen in Lichterfelde. If you’re looking for Berlin’s trendy ice cream at the highest level of craftsmanship, this is the place.
