Hugos Restaurant: Berlin’s Highest Gourmet Address with Panoramic Views
If you’re looking for a restaurant with a view in Berlin, Hugos is an absolute must. Located on the 14th floor of the InterContinental Berlin Hotel, it is the city’s highest Michelin-starred restaurant. The panorama stretches from Potsdamer Platz to Tiergarten – and since all tables are directly along the continuous glass front with spectacular views of many of the capital’s landmarks and attractions, there simply isn’t a bad seat. Whether it’s the TV Tower, Sony Center, or Victory Column: Hugos offers a breathtaking panorama of Berlin that impresses by day and truly glows at sunset.
Soft lighting, elegant decor, and candlelight create a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. So, if you’re looking for a rooftop restaurant that combines fine dining with city views at an absolute top level, this is the perfect place.
Michelin Star Since 1999 – Cuisine That Can Keep Up With the View
Head Chef Johannes Gehrich has been at the helm since the end of 2025. Since joining the Hugos team in 2016, he has shaped the cuisine with passion and precision. Together with Sous Chef Lisa Schröder, previously at Restaurant AURA with Alexander Herrmann and Tobias Bätz, he leads a young, dynamic kitchen team. Johannes Gehrich serves modern international cuisine as a six or eight-course menu. An example is “Snow Crab and Imperial Caviar”, which impresses with its delicacy and clarity of taste. Equally refined: Sole with morels, Vin jaune, and cauliflower mushroom.
As for awards, Hugos speaks for itself: The Michelin star has been continuously awarded since 1999. Most recently, it was reconfirmed in 2025, complemented by three black Gault & Millau toques. The menu is also complemented by carefully selected wine pairings. In short: Hugos is not just a restaurant with a view, but one of the most reliable gourmet addresses Berlin has to offer. Open Wednesday to Saturday from 18:30.
