Fireplace Bar Berlin – where history meets mixology

The Fireplace Bar is located on the ground floor of the Hotel Oderberger Berlin, a heritage-protected former public bath, which was lovingly renovated and reopened in 2016 as a hotel and public swimming pool. This used to be the vault of the Oderberger public bath. A past that is reflected in the design: The massive fireplace is made from stones of the old bath. The stones in the fireplace thus come from the same building where today drinks are mixed.

Inside, a wall-high bar is an eye-catcher and the center of the room. Opposite it, a cozy, massive fireplace crackles, providing the bar’s comfortable atmosphere. In the bar, guests settle in small groups on heavy, velvety wingback chairs or a leather couch and enjoy delicious cocktails and drinks. The lighting is dimmed, the music is subdued, and conversation takes center stage.

Creative Cocktails with a Regional Focus

The creative team focuses on classic mixology cocktails and their own creations with seasonal and sustainable influences. The rule is: The syrup is homemade, the draft beer comes from Neukölln, and there is a large selection of wines and spirits from Berlin and Germany. Thus, every drink carries a small piece of Berlin’s history within it.

The well-stocked bar menu features classics like Swimming Pool and Mai Tai, as well as special creations and non-alcoholic specialties. Various preparations of the Mule are offered, such as the fruity version “El Diablo” with tequila, blackcurrant liqueur, lime, and ginger ale. The bar team serves a wide selection of classics and house creations directly by the fireplace from Tuesday to Sunday from 5 PM, or on the terrace in summer. Additionally, Kaminbar Berlin offers bar workshops with the team, bookable upon request.
