Founded in 2009 in a backyard in Berlin-Kreuzberg, vanille & marille is far more than just an ice cream parlor today. Behind the Kreuzberg store on Hagelberger Straße is the “Ice Cream Headquarters,” which supplies a total of nine stores in Berlin. The concept is as simple as it is convincing: All ingredients are 100% natural, free from artificial colors and flavorings, and all varieties are created according to their own recipes.

State-certified ice cream makers create the ice cream in Kreuzberg and Schöneberg. Therefore, you can taste the difference with every visit. Each store offers up to 20 flavors daily, served in a cone or cup. The team also operates sustainably: All stores use green electricity based on hydropower, and consistent waste separation is a matter of course for the team.

From Classics to Exotic Flavor of the Month

What truly sets this ice cream parlor apart is its variety of flavors. Fruity creations like Indian mango or Andean blackberry with yogurt stand alongside classics such as original Tahitian vanilla or Sicilian pistachio. For those looking for a special treat, keep an eye on the monthly changing flavor of the month. Vegan and lactose-free options are always available. Furthermore, the experience can be extended at home: In the Kreuzberg and Schöneberg stores, as well as in Prenzlauer Berg and Steglitz, there are “at-home” cups, pre-filled 500ml containers of various flavors. Perfect for anyone who prefers to enjoy their ice cream on the sofa. Seasonal operation is from mid-March to mid-October.
