Ovest

The tiny Italian restaurant close to Ku’damm in Berlin-Charlottenburg seems rather unimpressive, but the business lunch is surprisingly good.

We’ll admit: The first impression of the tiny Italian restaurant Ovest doesn’t seem too promising. The interior is rather simple. Wooden tables combined with plastic chairs are far away from what you’d consider fancy, but the menu is quite surprising.

You can order a two-course meal for just 11.50 Euro from the daily changing lunch menu. We got a some delicious pasta in a creamy sauce as a starter, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken leg that tasted just fine. The espresso afterwards was also pretty good, not tasting too bitter.

The interior might be plain, but the atmosphere is easy-going. The staff works fast so you won’t get into trouble spending your lunch break there. Even though it’s not one of the most fancy restaurants in the Ku’damm area the menu is rather promising and of good quality to reasonable prices.

If you decide to pay a visit to the Ovest during dinner time, you should opt for some of the pasta dishes, the entrecote Americano or the Ovest burger.
