Manon Brasserie Nouvelle: French Brasserie at Steinplatz

Manon Brasserie Nouvelle opened in 2025 at Roomers am Steinplatz 4 in Charlottenburg, the former Hotel am Steinplatz. Berlin restaurateur The Duc Ngo is responsible, and the interior was designed by Hyunjung Kim: dark wood, marble, red seating niches, bentwood chairs, and a bar where music plays from vinyl. The interior seats around 50 guests, while the green and partially covered inner courtyard can accommodate up to 80. This makes the establishment feel less like a hotel restaurant in the usual sense and more like an independent brasserie with its own clientele. Jana Kämpfer is the restaurant manager.

Classics from Paris, Dishes from Saigon

The menu juxtaposes classic French brasserie dishes with Southeast Asian offerings. Veal Cordon Bleu with cooked ham and cranberries costs 33 Euros, Steak Frites with Sauce Béarnaise 36 Euros, Filet de Boeuf au Poivre 49 Euros, and the Rossini variation with foie gras and truffle 84 Euros. Also available are Saigon Ceviche of meager with banana blossom and kumquat for 21 Euros, and a potato noodle with celery and truffle for 28 Euros. Oysters cost 5 or 6.50 Euros each, and Tarte Tatin with Crème Chantilly 14 Euros. For business lunch, prices are lower than those on the evening menu.
