Behind the ivy-clad facade in Meinekestraße near Ku'damm, Diekmann has been serving German-French cuisine since 1982, amidst 19th-century colonial store wine racks and a freestanding oyster bar. Restaurant Diekmann: German-French Cuisine since 1982

Josef Diekmann opened a small bistro in 1982 at Meinekestraße 7, a side street off Kurfürstendamm. This evolved into today’s restaurant. Parts of the interior come from a 19th-century colonial store, whose wine racks define the front room. Here, guests sit at high tables around a freestanding oyster bar, while smaller tables in a minimalist setting are located at the back. The Guide Michelin again lists the establishment as a recommendation in its 2026 edition. It is managed by Anne-Maria Meiffert, with Max Günther in the kitchen.

Business Lunch with Water, Baguette, and Espresso Included

The lunch menu changes weekly and is slightly smaller than the dinner menu. Water, baguette, and espresso are included with the main course. A flank steak with potato gratin costs 26 Euros, fried fish with remoulade 25 Euros, pumpkin quark dumplings with goat cheese 23 Euros, plus potato soup with veal meatballs for 11 Euros and Crème Brûlée for 7 Euros. In the evening, the Chef’s Choice tasting menu with four courses is available for 78 Euros, with wine pairing costing 38 Euros. The oysters come from Brittany and Ireland and are delivered without intermediate storage. The small oyster tasting with four pieces costs 19 Euros, the large with eight pieces 38 Euros.
