Pottery as a weekend adventure for yourself: Ceramic Kingdom in Neukölln's Agora Rollberg is Berlin's creative ceramics workshop for everyone who wants to think with their hands. Small course groups, a real community, and the relaxed vibe of an artist's workshop make the difference.

Uzun Masa means long table: The family-run business in Neukölln is a Turkish breakfast house during the day and a modern Meyhane with Meze and Rakı in the evening.

Chef Jan Kreuzinger opened Vin Aqua Vin in 2010 on Weserstraße in Neukölln, as both a wine shop and a wine bar. The shelves primarily feature German winemakers with a focus on Riesling, as well as wines from France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, and their own Secco. It's open until 1 AM, so you can still grab a bottle late at night.

Bonapple is a small café on Kienitzer Straße in Schillerkiez, just a few minutes from Leinestraße subway station. Instead of a classic juice bar, it offers freshly brewed coffee, creamy smoothies, nutrient-rich bowls, and cold-pressed juices in a deliberately modern setting. For superfood in Berlin, this means: Açaí bowls to take away to Tempelhofer Feld.

On Weserstraße in the Reuterkiez, Bohei Shop has been offering stationery, jewelry, and home accessories for about ten years, much of it from Berlin labels like Berlin in Sicht, Berliner Töchter, and Reflective Berlin. Owner Jan Oster designs some of the cards and prints himself. A postcard with the TV Tower is enough for a Berlin souvenir here.

Located directly at Hermannstraße U- and S-Bahn station, this pub describes itself as an institution for over 25 years. It operates without closing hours, accepts cash payments only, has a smoking area, free Wi-Fi, and offers the option to rent the space for private parties. Prices remain in the lower double-digit range per person.

Many items at Veist in Selchower Straße bear a tag with their backstory: for example, a silk blouse of an ambassador's wife or a patterned cardigan of a New Yorker. Used clothing thus becomes a piece with documented origin.

Hole44 is one of the few hip-hop clubs in Neukölln that brings rap to the stage in a big way. The venue is located in the former Globus cinema on Hermannstraße, where today German rap artists like Veysel and Pa Sports perform, along with Neo-Soul and RnB. The focus is on live concerts rather than a weekly party series.

In Rixdorf, Neukölln's quietest corner, behind Böhmische Straße 48 lies an ice cream manufactory with true neighborhood character. Since 2017, Eisderix has focused on handmade ice cream without flavor pastes, with flavors ranging from Strawberry Cheesecake to Caramel Beurré Salé. Small ice cream parlor, great craftsmanship.

Sahara Imbiss in Schillerkiez serves Sudanese cuisine: Mustafa opened his first shop in 2009 while studying, bringing the flavors of Khartoum with him. Today, there are eleven locations in Berlin. The hallmark is the homemade peanut sauce served with falafel, along with foul and okra. Falafel in Berlin tastes different here than anywhere else.
