On Weserstraße in the Reuterkiez, Bohei Shop has been offering stationery, jewelry, and home accessories for about ten years, much of it from Berlin labels like Berlin in Sicht, Berliner Töchter, and Reflective Berlin. Owner Jan Oster designs some of the cards and prints himself. A postcard with the TV Tower is enough for a Berlin souvenir here.

Bohei Shop on Weserstraße: Gifts from Berlin Labels

The Bohei Shop is located at Weserstraße 43 in the Reuterkiez, the area between Hermannplatz and Landwehrkanal, where small shops, bars, and workshops line up. Jan Oster founded it with a friend; its tenth anniversary was celebrated in autumn 2022, and today it is run by Oster alone. The name comes from the Rhenish dialect and means “to make a fuss,” which fits a shop that accommodates a lot in a small space. The assortment is divided into stationery, home decor, fashion, and accessories and consists largely of works by small manufacturers, many from the neighborhood or Berlin. These include ceramic stickers from Piku, soap dishes and cans from Clémence Grieco, seed bombs, and a hot sauce that is bottled a few streets away. A second store is located on Akazienstraße in Schöneberg.

Postcards, Prints, and Reflectors as Berlin Souvenirs

For a souvenir from Berlin, the stationery is particularly interesting. The postcards from the Berlin in Sicht label show the TV Tower or the Oberbaumbrücke and cost 1.50 Euros, while the art print titled Berlin by Berlin artist Niels Kalk is 15.00 Euros. In between are folding cards, notebooks, games, and calendars. Oster designs some of the cards and prints himself and sells them under his own label, including a card that stages the Berlin Döner as a candlelight dinner. A second Berlin label is Reflective Berlin with reflector stickers, which make good gifts and are actually useful on a bicycle in winter. In addition, there are pins, jute bags, socks, and jewelry, as well as selected delicacies and spirits. Within Germany, the shop ships free of charge for orders over 50.00 Euros; pickup is possible at both stores.
