Osterzirkus in den Gärten der Welt

In East Berlin, in Marzahn, the Gardens of the World transform into a grand stage for families at Easter: circus, interactive theater, and a legendary Easter egg hunt across the entire park make the Easter weekend one of the city's most atmospheric spring festivals.
Easter Circus in the Gardens of the World: Marzahn’s Most Beautiful Spring Festival
Anyone planning to spend Easter 2026 in Berlin should already have April 5th and 6th marked in their calendar. On Sunday, April 5th, and Monday, April 6th, 2026, the Gardens of the World invite visitors to the first park festival of the season. This isn’t just about a leisurely stroll among blooming theme gardens, but a real program for the whole family.
Easter Egg Hunt, Circus, and Theater in the Park
Young and old can expect a colorful Easter festival full of theater, stories, and joyful interactive activities. The highlight on Easter Sunday is the big Easter egg hunt: 365 eggs are hidden throughout the park. All finders can then exchange their discovered egg for small surprises at the visitor center. 10 hidden eggs with country-specific Easter painting are the main prize and represent the diversity and international influences that come together in the Gardens of the World.
At the Flower Theater, the Easter Circus program awaits the youngest visitors. The schedule includes children’s theater from the „Zauberwerkstatt‟ (Magic Workshop), stories by Wim Rooth, and an interactive Easter course. On Monday, an Easter walk-act will also amaze. For those who want to experience even more: the nature bobsleigh track and the cable car in Kienbergpark are also starting their season.
Arrival and Spring Atmosphere Included
For the start of the season, spring bloomers like snowdrops, crocuses, winter aconites, and the first delicate cherry blossoms create spring feelings, and the theme gardens closed during the winter months, such as the Japanese Garden, the Korean Garden, and the Oriental-Islamic Garden, will also reopen for all visitors. Since the Gardens of the World are best reached by public transport, it is recommended to travel by U5 to the „Kienberg – Gärten der Welt‟ station and then continue by cable car from the opposite cable car station „Kienbergpark / Gärten der Welt‟ over the Kienberg to the „Gärten der Welt – Blumberger Damm‟ station. This way, your Easter excursion starts already in the air.
