Where Treptow meets Kreuzberg at Flutgraben, stands one of Berlin's most famous open-air clubs. A wooden deck, weeping willow, and canal water are as much a part of Club der Visionäre as relaxed minimal techno.
Club der Visionäre: Open-Air Club with Cult Status at Flutgraben
Club der Visionäre is located in Treptow, in a former boathouse on a flood canal, directly opposite the border to Kreuzberg. It became known primarily for its focus on minimal techno. The place remains deliberately rustic: a small brick building on the canal, offices upstairs, dance floor downstairs.
Most guests spend their time on the wooden deck outside or sitting under the weeping willow by the water. Admission is in the low single-digit range, and an evening typically costs around 10 to 20 Euros per person.
Relaxed Booking Policy, International Appeal
The line-up is often decided only one to two weeks in advance, and unplanned DJ sets are not uncommon. Opening hours depend on the weather and crowd, with operations running continuously from Friday to Monday on big weekends.
Since its debut in 2002, CdV has been a firm fixture in the Berlin club scene and a highlight in the international club calendar. The space is small, so it gets crowded early on warm weekends. For arrival, the U-Bahn to Schlesisches Tor is suitable, from there it’s about a ten-minute walk over the bridge.
