Right on the Spree in Treptow, Berlin dances as long as the sun shines. ELSE is the seasonal open-air counterpart of Salon zur Wilden Renate, offering house and techno on wooden floorboards with a view of the water.

ELSE Open Air Club: Dancing with Spree View in Treptow

ELSE is the open-air counterpart of the electronic music club Salon zur Wilden Renate and owes its name to its location near the Elsenbrücke, where Kreuzberg, Treptow, Friedrichshain, and Rummelsburg Bay meet. Dancing takes place outdoors, directly on the banks of the Spree.

The site features wood. The entire dancefloor is laid out with floorboards, complemented by platforms and colorful structures that give the area a festival-like quality. Between sets, there’s space to sit by the water, with views across the Spree towards Osthafen.

Seasonal Operation with Curated Program

The club opens every year during the summer season and plays on weekends from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Musically, it sticks to house and techno, with programming focusing on label nights and guest series from affiliated clubs rather than big names.

An evening costs approximately 20 to 30 Euros per person. In the early afternoon, the area is quiet, and the sun shines on the wooden platforms; later, the crowd gathers, and the sound system cranks up.
