The delphi Lux at Bahnhof Zoo enriches Berlin, the cinema capital, and with its seven cinema halls, it guarantees to cure boredom.
With German and European films, as well as American independent productions, delphi Lux at Bahnhof Zoo definitely provides variety. The cinema opened in September 2017 and is one of the capital’s newer cinema highlights. In this chic cinema, the program alone guarantees that boredom won’t arise.
In the total of seven cinema halls, elaborately equipped with the latest digital technology, films outside the mainstream are shown that one would otherwise not get to see, such as documentary and repertoire films, short films, and occasionally a blockbuster in its original version with subtitles. As the name suggests, great importance is placed on the staging of light at Lux.
Lux is also a “European Film Award Cinema”: It serves as the public cinema for the European Film Award. It is the newest cinema of the Yorck Group in Berlin and contributes to the development of City West around Bahnhof Zoo. Together with the neighboring C/O Berlin, the Museum for Photography, and the Newton Foundation, the area at the entrance to the new Campus Charlottenburg is to be developed as Berlin’s photo and film district.
