A prefabricated concrete panel building apartment still furnished with original GDR furniture – this historical document can be visited in Hellersdorf!
The 3-room apartment is still equipped, for example, with a chipboard wall unit and a Colorett color TV. On the shelf, next to the “GDR Hotel Guide,” is the instruction manual for the Majomat (Magdeburg Yogurt Machine). Other genuine GDR products such as Rotkäppchen sparkling wine, Dederon aprons, and a cartridge soda bottle can also be discovered.
By the way, the rent for the apartment in the 1980s was 109 GDR marks. This was relatively cheap and only further increased the popularity of the prefabricated panel buildings.
