Windobona

Berlin's only vertical wind tunnel awaits everyone who wants to know what flying truly feels like, located in the historic waterworks on Landsberger Allee in Lichtenberg. Windobona sends visitors into a freefall at up to 280 km/h, entirely without a plane.
Indoor Skydiving in Berlin: Flying Without a Jump
The freefall in Windobona’s wind tunnel delivers the feeling of a parachute jump without an airplane. On the grounds of the listed Lichtenberg waterworks, the striking building rises, within its 4.3-meter wide and 17-meter high glass flight chamber, the dream of flying comes true. In the wind tunnel, speeds between 120 km/h and 280 km/h are reached. The adrenaline kicks in immediately as soon as the airflow starts. The flight corresponds to a jump from approximately 4,000 meters altitude and also offers the possibility to train combination jumps with up to four people in a completely risk-free environment.
To ensure the kick truly hits, there’s a detailed briefing before the flight. Equipped with a suit, goggles, earplugs, and helmet, visitors are first taken to the training room where the basic flight posture and the most important signals are explained. The team individually adjusts the wind strength in the tunnel during the flight to suit size, weight, and flight experience. This creates an experience that is worthwhile for both complete beginners and experienced sport flyers.
Windobona: Speed Kick with Atmosphere
The facility impresses with modern interior, a coffee & drink bar, and the relaxed vibe of a place that knows what it’s doing. Unlike bungee jumping, for example, indoor skydiving offers a longer and more extreme feeling of freefall. If you want to capture your flight: A video of the flight experience can be purchased on-site on a USB stick. And spectators won’t miss out either. Those who don’t fly themselves can comfortably watch the action from cozy armchairs. In short: Windobona is one of the few Berlin activities where the speed kick isn’t just promised, but simply delivered.
