LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Berlin: Climb, Build, Marvel

The LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in the Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz is spread across ten themed areas and two rides. The centerpiece is the MINILAND: Berlin made from over 2.5 million LEGO bricks, from the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and Berlin Cathedral to the airport and the U5 subway, plus moving scenes like a concert or the fall of the Berlin Wall. Next door is NINJAGO City Adventure, Germany’s only indoor play area on this theme, a multi-story temple with climbing ropes, tunnels, obstacle courses, and a laser maze. In the Dino Explorer area, kids can dig at an excavation site, and on 100 square meters, children send their self-built cars with timed measurement over ramps and loops in LEGO Racers. Additionally, there’s the 4D cinema with wind, rain, and snow effects, the Dragon Ride, and the DUPLO Farm for the little ones.

What Families Should Know Beforehand

Adults are only admitted when accompanied by at least one child; conversely, minors require adult supervision. Each ticket is tied to a time slot, and annual passes must also be reserved before each visit. Online, admission costs from 19.50 Euros instead of 25 Euros at the box office; on weekday afternoons, there’s a cheaper Happy Hour ticket, and children under 2 years old enter for free. The annual pass costs 49 Euros and pays for itself from the second visit. Approximately two and a half hours are suggested for the tour; on busy days, the stay is limited to three hours. In the LEGO Factory, each child takes home a self-produced brick, and in the model-building workshop, a changing model, complete with a certificate, is created in 30 to 45 minutes.
