Langano

At Langano in Kreuzberg, chicken in Ethiopian paprika sauce or roasted chickpea balls in chili sauce are served on the leavened flatbread Injera.
Guests in Berlin-Kreuzberg at Langano are welcome to tear off a piece of the Injera dough to eat the dish by hand. However, only the right (!) hand may be used; the left hand is considered unclean. In any case, this unusual way of eating promotes conviviality and perfectly rounds off the exotic restaurant experience. The service staff is happy to assist, advise on dish selection, and demonstrate how to eat “properly” with your hands.
Ethiopian dishes are known for their exceptional spice blend with chili, cardamom, paprika, as well as the typical butter used for preparing the dishes. Often, spicy dishes are mellowed with cottage cheese.
The simply furnished Langano restaurant offers a variety of classic and African beverages on its drinks menu. The adventurous can try exotic drinks such as Dju-Dju beer or the Langano Beach cocktail.
