Naples meets Mitte: At Capvin on Weinbergsweg and in the Rosenhöfe, World Champion Vincenzo Capuano's pizza stands for uncompromising craftsmanship. The cloudy, airy dough made from specially developed Nuvola flour and ingredients directly from Naples make this pizzeria a go-to address in Berlin.
Capvin: Neapolitan Pizza at World Champion Level
When it comes to authentic Neapolitan pizza in Berlin, there’s no way around Capvin. The concept is led by pizza revolutionary and World Champion Vincenzo Capuano, whose famous pizza creations were brought to Germany for the first time here. The restaurant operates two locations in Berlin: one in the Rosenhöfe and another on Weinbergsweg. Both addresses are in the heart of Mitte and are deservedly well-visited, so it’s best to reserve in advance.
Following Neapolitan tradition, the daily fresh dough consists of water, salt, yeast, and flour. The special Nuvola flour was specially developed by Maestro Vincenzo in collaboration with flour producer Caputo, giving the dough its distinct cloudy texture. Despite 300 grams of dough, the pizzas feel light as clouds. The pizza spends just two minutes in the oven at 370 degrees.
Golden Scissors, Fresh Ingredients, Atmospheric Courtyard
Fior di Latte and San Marzano tomatoes come directly from Naples. The menu features classic variations like Margherita, Tartufo, and Napoli, but also creative new creations with meatballs or fried zucchini chips. Additionally, there are vegan and vegetarian options. A small but refined detail: the pizzas are served not with a knife, but with golden scissors, which makes cutting more pleasant.
Guests rave about the atmospheric outdoor area, where you dine amidst green plants and warm light. Pizza prices range between 13 and 18 Euros, which is more than fair for the quality offered. For anyone searching for the best pizza in the city, Capvin belongs on the list.
