The name says it all: “Cuore Di Vetro” means “Heart of Glass” and is an allusion to Werner Herzog’s film of the same name. Behind it lies a commitment. Guido and Angelika created Cuore di Vetro as an expression of their passion for delicacies, gelato, traditional Italian coffee house culture, and art. The ice cream is freshly produced daily in their own manufactory. It consists exclusively of fruits, homemade fruit syrup, and milk. Nothing else goes into the cone here. Those who look through the glass window to the production can see exactly what goes into the ice cream. Transparency as a concept, not a marketing promise.

Unusual Flavors, Culture, and Caramelized Figs

The selection changes daily and goes far beyond the classic. Original Italian recipes offer classics like Dark Chocolate, Tiramisu, or Pistachio, but also unusual creations such as Raspberry Cheesecake, Grapefruit-Basil, or Ricotta-Fig. For those who like something special, order the house’s signature dessert: three portions of gelato with caramelized figs and cream. In addition, Cuore Di Vetro offers another dimension. The operators regularly host vernissages, exhibitions, author readings, and concerts.
