The La Sepia on Marburger Straße – practically just across the street from the Europa-Center – banks on fresh fish in a welcoming maritime atmosphere.

Their large fish display where lobster, salmon, gilthead, wolffish and sepia are displayed on an ice bed is really impressive. If you have any questions about the fish, the chef loves to give you any explanations you might need. The kitchen there is open, ie. you can watch the chef preparing your order. The atmosphere is rustic and unpretentious, the walls are painted yellow and the obilgatory wooden steering wheel from a ship adorns a wall – complete maritime immersion so to speak.

At lunch time they offer a changing lunch card. The dishes are simple, a fillet of zander with sautéed cucumber or tuna steak with veggies – yet they are tasty, fresh and come at a great price. Every now and then you will find specials that don’t show up on the menu, like for example a fillet of wolffish, literally melting on your tongue. Next to their focus on fish, the La Sepia also offers other delicacies from the Iberian Peninsula like tapas or paella.
