The house brand African Queen stands for strong, characterful coffee that has attracted loyal regulars for over two decades. The roastery now operates four locations in Berlin.

Impala Coffee: Cult Status in Prenzlauer Berg

Impala Coffee was one of the first representatives of the third wave coffee movement in Germany. Founded in 2003 on Pappelallee, the roastery has long since achieved cult status in Prenzlauer Berg. From its first location on Pappelallee, Impala has now grown to several locations in Berlin, including the branch on Schönhauser Allee.

What makes Impala special is the consistent focus on quality behind every cup. Varieties are carefully selected to fit their own portfolio, not only considering taste but also sustainable and fair cultivation. Thanks to daily in-house roasting, the coffee arrives particularly fresh in the cup.

African Queen and Fresh Beans from Around the World

The heart of the assortment is the house brand: the African Queen blend, along with Flat White, filter coffee, and cappuccino. In the branches, coffees from India, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Colombia, and many other countries are available. The roasts are also available packaged for takeaway.

In addition, there are more savory reasons to visit: classic bagels with salmon and cream cheese, but also with avocado or Serrano. Furthermore, coffee and tea rarities from all over the world, as well as smoothies and freshly squeezed juices, complete the offering.
