Lubitsch

Named after director Ernst Lubitsch, the restaurant on Bleibtreustraße has been serving classic cuisine between Berlin, Vienna, and Paris since the early nineties: Königsberger Klopse for 23.50 Euros, Steak Frites for 28 Euros. The Business Lunch is available daily at noon between Ku'damm and Savignyplatz, in the courtyard when the weather is good, instead of in the dining room.

Lubitsch: Charlottenburg Classic for Business Lunch

Since the early nineties, Lubitsch has been located at Bleibtreustraße 47 between Ku’damm and Savignyplatz, named after the Berlin-born director Ernst Lubitsch. It is run by Ole Cordua and his wife Caroline. The dining room is kept small, with upholstered benches, wood paneling, large mirrors, and muted colors. Around 70 seats are available indoors, about twenty more on the terrace in front of the building, and another twenty to thirty in the specially prepared inner courtyard.

Classic Cuisine between Berlin, Vienna, and Paris

The menu moves within the triangle of Berlin, Vienna, and Paris, interpreted in a contemporary way. Königsberger Klopse of veal with mashed potatoes and caper sauce cost 23.50 Euros, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes with Spätzle 26 Euros, Steak Frites with an 180-gram entrecôte 28 Euros. A Black Angus beef fillet is on the menu for 34 Euros for 160 grams and 48 Euros for 250 grams; vegetarian options include spinach dumplings for 19.50 Euros and a mustard egg for 17.50 Euros. Fine de Claire oysters cost 4.50 Euros per piece. For groups of seven or more, direct reservation is recommended.
