Brandenburg

Southwest of Potsdam, nestled between asparagus fields, pine forests, and blueberry plantations, lies one of Brandenburg's most popular excursion farms. The Klaistow Asparagus and Adventure Farm in Beelitz combines authentic rural life with a program that keeps children entertained all day long.

A Family Excursion in Brandenburg That Works in Every Season

Anyone who has visited Klaistow once is guaranteed to return. The Asparagus and Adventure Farm near Potsdam and Berlin is a family business founded in 1990. In 1991, the first 11 hectares of asparagus were planted, and a small sales stand by the field was followed in 1995 by the construction of the first hall with a farm shop. From these modest beginnings, it has now become one of the most visited excursion destinations in Brandenburg.

Located near Berlin and Potsdam, the farm is a popular excursion destination in every season due to its field-fresh produce from its own cultivation, the adventure playground, the seasonal cuisine, and the numerous events. This is also what we particularly like: an excursion here is just as worthwhile in spring as in autumn. While Beelitz asparagus can be enjoyed in various variations in the restaurant in spring, autumn attracts visitors to Klaistow with Berlin-Brandenburg’s largest pumpkin exhibition featuring over 100,000 pumpkins and giant pumpkin figures.

There’s plenty for children to experience all year round. First, they are magically drawn to the large bouncy cushion and the two giant slides, which are also great fun for adults. Then it continues: Little animal lovers will enjoy geese and guinea pigs, a petting zoo with ponies and donkeys, and an adjacent wildlife enclosure with red deer, fallow deer, and mouflon. In the climbing forest, brave adventurers can climb up to 6 meters high and zip through the forest on Berlin-Brandenburg’s longest zip lines. Those who prefer it calmer can also pick their own strawberries, blueberries, and potatoes. In winter, the farm Christmas awaits with an ice rink, curling, and a large toboggan run.

Location, Admission, and Getting There

Admission to the farm is free; only for special events like the pumpkin exhibition are small entrance fees charged. Attractions such as the climbing forest and tractor rides across the expansive grounds are subject to a fee. The barrier-free farm is located between Beelitz and Werder/Havel, just 1 km from the southern Berliner Ring (A10, exit Glindow), and offers ample free parking. By car, it takes about 45 to 50 minutes from the center of Berlin. The farm is open daily from 8 AM to 9 PM (March to December).
