Eicholz Animal and Leisure Park Germendorf: Three Parks, One Ticket

Zoo, dinosaur park, and amusement park all in one: The Eicholz Animal and Leisure Park Germendorf in the Germendorf district of Oranienburg is one of Brandenburg’s most diverse excursion destinations. Around 400,000 guests visit the park per season, on a 69-hectare site featuring large open enclosures with native and exotic animals. Sika deer, zebras, kangaroos, alpacas, flamingos, meerkats, and eland antelopes are part of the impressive animal diversity. Particularly popular with children are the petting enclosures, where they can experience animals up close. Furthermore, the planned construction of a modern monkey house, which aims to offer the monkeys more space and an appropriate environment, is currently a topic of discussion.

Dinosaurs, Swimming Lake, and Rides for Families

What makes this excursion destination in Brandenburg so special is the combination of nature and adventure. In the so-called Paleontological Show Garden, nearly 100 life-sized prehistoric models, including Archaeopteryx, Brachiosaurus, T-Rex, and Steppe Mammoth, are a delight. In addition, the amusement park offers many playgrounds and attractions for children, including trampolines, mini-bikes, bumper cars, and the “Luna Loop” ride. In summer, visitors can refresh themselves at four bathing spots. A hidden highlight is a small cable car that leads from the lakeshore to one of the islands. Admission is family-friendly: adults pay 8 Euros, children between 7 and 16 years pay 5 Euros, and a family ticket for two adults and up to three children is available for 23 Euros. For those who want to travel without a car: Bus 823 goes directly from Oranienburg train station to the animal park. The park is open all year round, including Sundays and public holidays.
