A little hidden away in Wilmersdorf is a place where the glamour that harks back to the night-loving Berlin of the 1920s lives on. From the outside, the Spiegeltent appears inconspicuous, but inside it unfolds the effect of a glittering ballroom where the intimate space expands into a boundless, magical world through countless mirrors. Anyone who sits inside immediately understands why this place has become so dear to so many Berliners.

At Bar jeder Vernunft, the genres of chanson, cabaret, concert, and musical comedy are presented in a historic Spiegeltent. The program is anything but predictable: a varied program is offered to entertainment-loving Berliners and guests seven days a week. The evenings that focus on Berlin itself are particularly strong. Special audience favorites include works with a strong Berlin connection, such as the adaptation of Paul Lincke’s operetta „Frau Luna” or the Berlin musical „Cabaret”.

Dinner and Show: Experiential Gastronomy at Berlin Level

What distinguishes BAR JEDER VERNUNFT from an ordinary theatre stage is its harmonious gastronomic concept. The audience sits at small tables or in boxes and can also dine. Thus, every evening becomes a dinner-and-show experience, where both the stage and the table are simultaneously used. The dishes are prepared fresh daily from regional and seasonal ingredients. Those who wish can book a 3-course menu in advance to heighten the culinary anticipation.

The stage program itself reads like a Who’s Who of German-language cabaret. The Geschwister Pfister grew up with the Spiegeltent, Meret Becker’s singing voice debuted here, and Michael Mittermeier celebrated his first successes outside Bavaria at the BAR. Most recently, Klaus Hoffmann brought his 51st album to the stage and celebrated his 75th birthday right here in March 2026. Thus, BAR JEDER VERNUNFT remains what it has always been: a Berlin institution of experiential gastronomy that caters to both palate and mind.
