Brauhaus Südstern is history; since May 2026, SUUUD Brewery has been located on Hasenheide. SUUUD Brewery: Successor to Brauhaus Südstern on Hasenheide
After more than twenty years, Brauhaus Südstern on Hasenheide has closed; since May 2026, SUUUD Brewery has continued operations at the location. Robin Schwencke and his team have taken over the establishment and noticeably streamlined the menu. Brewing continues on-site: six house-brewed varieties are on tap, including a Pilsner with Saaz hops, a Helles with Perle and Cascade, a Dunkel with Caramalt, a Pale Ale with Chinook, and a Session IPA with Polaris. The Märzen with Hallertau hops is the strongest in the range at 5.2 percent.
Beer Garden at Volkspark Hasenheide with Stage
A half-liter of Pilsner or Helles costs 5.50 Euros, Dunkel and Märzen are 5.80 Euros, and the Pale Ale is 6.00 Euros. The kitchen offers Veal Wiener Schnitzel for 24.50 Euros, Königsberger Klopse for 17.50 Euros, and Currywurst for 14.00 Euros, plus a vegan cauliflower schnitzel for 15.00 Euros. The beer garden directly overlooks Volkspark Hasenheide, with live music and comedy on stage, seating around 200 guests. The establishment accepts inquiries for brewery tours and brewing courses, and tables can be reserved online.
