Vettern Bar

Vettern Bar took over the premises of the former Bar Mama on Hobrechtstraße in 2023 and has since become one of the most visited trendy pubs in Neukölln's Reuterkiez. Exposed concrete and flea market furniture, unpasteurized Svijany on tap from 3.60 euros, space for around one hundred guests. Among Berlin's iconic trendy pubs, it represents the Neukölln counterpart to the club mile.
Vettern Bar: Successor to Bar Mama in Reuterkiez
Hobrechtstraße is located in Reuterkiez, the densely built-up part of Neukölln between the Landwehr Canal and Hermannplatz. Bar Mama was a fixture at house number 61 for years; in 2023, new operators took over the premises and turned it into Vettern Bar. The floor plan remained, the interior was changed: today, raw exposed concrete walls and openly laid ventilation pipes stand next to flea market furniture that does not conform to a uniform style. In summer, tables are placed on the sidewalk in front of the door. Approximately 120 square meters on the ground floor offer space for about one hundred guests, which makes the bar noticeably lively on busy evenings without making conversations impossible.
Czech Draft Beer and Classic Drinks
The drink selection distinguishes Vettern Bar from many neighboring pubs. Unpasteurized Svijany from the Czech Republic, light and unfiltered, comes on tap, and precisely this beer has brought the bar a portion of its regular customers. A small glass costs 3.60 Euros, cocktails start at 8 Euros. Classics such as Moscow Mule and Pisco Sour are also on the menu, as well as changing Spritz variations. The clientele consists mainly of students, creatives, and people from the neighborhood who prefer to spend a long evening here rather than a quick round. The establishment is operated by JMNP Gastronomie GmbH, which also rents out the rooms for private parties.
