The Bavarian restaurant Weihenstephaner at Hackescher Markt was freshly renovated, modernized, and refurnished in spring 2018. The popular hearty cuisine with Bavarian beer is still available.

The alpine restaurant Weihenstephaner Berlin at Hackescher Markt has stood for fresh, hearty cuisine and a versatile beer assortment since 2012. In spring 2018, after five years of operation, it underwent extensive renovation, technical modernization, and re-furnishing. Despite all the modernization and new technical equipment, Restaurant Weihenstephaner remains true to its Bavarian roots and concept. Bavarian family businesses were involved in the renovation.

The menu features popular classics of alpine cuisine such as the oven-fresh crispy roast pork in Weihenstephaner dark beer sauce. The Berlin Currywurst is slightly modified and served as “Almcurrywurst” (alpine curry sausage) made from tender Tyrolean whole milk veal with a specially created curry sauce.

Matching the hearty cuisine, all beer varieties from the world’s oldest brewery are served – the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan! These include Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen, Weizenbock, and the dark Bockbier Korbinian. But wine lovers don’t have to suffer either; the wine list offers wines from Franconia, Austria, and South Tyrol.

Top10 Editorial Tip: The large, historic vaulted cellar invites you to feast in its familial atmosphere, and larger groups can easily find a table here.
