Planet Wein: Wine Shop and Vinothek at Gendarmenmarkt
Planet Wein is located at Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße 30, until 2025 it was called Mohrenstraße, the entrance is on Charlottenstraße. Sommelière Anja Schröder opened the wine shop in 2005 and still runs it herself today. Over 500 wines are on the shelves. The focus is on Riesling, German Pinot Noir, and Champagne, supplemented by cheese, ham, and cigars.
There is also a private label: “Der kleine Planet Wein” is a Riesling Kabinett from Achim von Oetinger from the Rheingau, the bottle costs 19 Euros. According to the owner, regular customers include the Chancellery and top chefs.
Open Pouring, Themed Evenings, and Delivery Service
There are tables in the shop where open wines and Champagne are served. On Fridays, it’s open until 11 PM, and on other days until 8 PM. Wine themed evenings take place on Thursdays: approximately three hours, seven to ten wines, and small dishes. Once a month, there’s a cheese evening with six wine-cheese combinations. Planet Wein delivers orders, and gift vouchers are also available.
