Forum Köpenick is the largest shopping center in southeastern Berlin, located directly at Köpenick S-Bahn station. Over 130 shops are spread across approximately 40,000 square meters and three floors, connected by a covered passage between two buildings. Supermoss systems filter pollutants from the indoor air.

Forum Köpenick: Shopping Center directly at Köpenick Station

Forum Köpenick is located on Bahnhofstraße directly at the Köpenick S-Bahn station and opened on October 23, 1997. It does not consist of a single long corridor, but rather two adjacent buildings connected by a covered passage. Panoramic elevators lead through the three floors, and access to the mall is barrier-free. In total, the building spans approximately 40,000 square meters. A special feature is literally in the air: Supermoss systems operate within the center, filtering pollutants from the indoor air, and the current air quality index can be monitored live. Those arriving by car will find about 1,100 parking spaces in the multi-story car park; parking costs two euros per commenced hour and a maximum of 7.50 euros per day. Currently, the renovation of Köpenick station into a regional station should be noted, which may temporarily alter routes and access roads around Bahnhofstraße.

Over 130 Shops and a Food Court at Forum Köpenick

The assortment is geared towards daily life in the district. Fashion is available at H&M, C&A, New Yorker, and Hunkemöller; drugstore and beauty products at Rossmann and Douglas; books at Thalia; household and furnishings at Jysk, Søstrene Grene, and an IKEA Planning Studio. For weekly groceries, Rewe and denn’s Biomarkt are available; for electronics, Medimax, plus Action, Tedi, Pepco, Rituals, Pandora, Christ, and a Futterhaus (pet store) for animals. Kieser Training, a fitness provider, is also located in the building. The food court brings together sixteen catering establishments, including Burger Vision, Nordsee, the ice cream parlor Di Russillo, die Kartoffel-Theke, and Asia Gourmet. Forum Köpenick is also a sponsor of 1. FC Union Berlin, whose match schedules are displayed in the center. At the info point on the ground floor, you can get information, center vouchers, and the key for the lockable changing room on the first floor. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building; elevators and disabled-accessible toilets serve all three floors. Opposite, there is also a second building, built in 2012, with additional retail space.
