Located on Wühlischstraße in Friedrichshain, Le Boudoir by Bohème Sauvage is Berlin's most sophisticated costume rental for the Golden Age of the Weimar Republic. Charleston dresses, feather boas, pearl necklaces, and Art Deco accessories await all who want to not only celebrate but also wear the nightlife of the Roaring Twenties.

Le Boudoir – Bohème Sauvage Costume Rental: Back to the Twenties

If you’re looking to rent a 1920s costume in Berlin, Le Boudoir in Friedrichshain is the right place. It’s the in-house costume rental of the legendary Bohème Sauvage. With Le Boudoir’s costumes, you’ll feel transported back to the Berlin of the Roaring Twenties. Fringed shift dresses, sleek trouser suits, and period-appropriate accessories like feather headpieces or pearl necklaces are available. The selection is expressly not only for women: Le Boudoir offers an impressive range of costumes for men and women from the 1920s.

Under their own fashion label, various collections are also available, from party outfits to elegant evening gowns. Additionally, there’s a Salon de Beauté for hair and makeup, ensuring the overall look is just right. What makes the shop even more special: The consultation is personal, and the team has an eye for the details that truly complete an outfit.

By Appointment Only, for a Relaxed Experience

Visits to the costume rental are deliberately exclusive. Since the service includes extensive consultation and fittings, Le Boudoir operates exclusively by appointment. A beauty expert greets guests, guides them through the shop, and ascertains their needs. Afterwards, there’s a good half an hour to put together the outfit and accessories. The rental period is one week.

Those who are more spontaneous still have opportunities: Several times a year, Le Boudoir opens for its “Porte Ouverte,” an open day where you can browse, shop, and make appointments, enjoying a glass of Crémant and styling tips from the beauty experts. Additionally, Le Boudoir opens every Saturday before a Bohème Sauvage event from 14:00 to 18:00. Those who take care of their 1920s costume in advance will find everything they need here at once.
