Since 2004, Supalife Kiosk on Raumerstraße has showcased Berlin's screen printing and illustration scene, supported since 2013 by an artist collective as a non-profit association. On 67 square meters, signed and numbered prints in small editions are displayed. Here, an original, not a reprint, goes home with you as a Berlin souvenir.
Supalife Kiosk on Raumerstraße: Gallery and Shop for Berlin Screen Printing
Located at Raumerstraße 40 in Prenzlauer Berg, just a few steps from Helmholtzplatz, the Supalife Kiosk has been showcasing artists from the city’s urban art, illustration, and screen printing scene since 2004. Since 2013, the venue has been run by the non-profit association Supalife, supported by a collective of nine active artists. The record for a voluntarily organized space is remarkable: 119 exhibitions in 19 years and 158 listed artists, celebrated in 2024 with a jubilee show for its twentieth anniversary. Six to eight exhibitions per year take place in two rooms totaling 67 square meters, with a ceiling height of almost four meters. Regular workshops for screen printing, woodcut, etching, and collage are also offered.
Signed Prints in Small Editions as Berlin Souvenirs
What hangs on the walls is for sale: screen prints, risographs, etchings, and linocuts in limited, numbered, and signed editions, along with artist books and annual calendars. Many editions are created as a co-production between the Kiosk and the exhibiting artists, meaning they are printed in-house. For Berlin motifs, Frank Dudda’s series is particularly interesting, featuring the roofs of Berlin, the World Clock, the U1 line, and a city view. Prices start at 40.00 Euros for a single-color A4 screen print, ranging up to 180.00 Euros for large-format, multi-color editions on heavy paper. Payments can be made via bank transfer or Paypal in the online shop, and orders can also be picked up directly at the store after a brief prior notification.
