v. Kloeden on Wielandstraße near Olivaer Platz has been a family business since 1967, combining a bookstore, toy shop, and its own publishing house under one roof. Opened in 1907, KaDeWe on Tauentzienstraße now spans over 60,000 square meters, attracting more than 50,000 people daily, and up to 100,000 during the Christmas season. In the Hackesche Hoefe sits the flagship store of a German bag brand that has been run as a family business since 2002. The leather comes from LWG certified tanneries, and on more than ninety percent of the models the lining is made from recycled PET. Sönneken is located at Lausitzer Platz in Kreuzberg, on a traffic-calmed street around a large playground and just around the corner from Markthalle Neun. Kirsten Opdenplatz has been running the little shop since 2006, selecting wooden toys, games, and books based on durability, pollutant-free production, and short supply chains.

On a manor farm in Kaulsdorf, Schilkin has made spirits since 1932, and since 1952 the Berliner Luft has come from there. The peppermint liqueur at eighteen per cent has long been a Berlin cult drink, more than six million bottles leave each year, a third of them staying in Berlin, and at the works outlet on the yard itself a litre bottle costs 9.49 euros.

At An der Spandauer Brücke 7 at Hackescher Markt, Käthe Wohlfahrt showcases over 8,000 Christmas items across approximately 240 square meters on two floors, staged as a 1920s-style backdrop. The family business from Rothenburg ob der Tauber has existed since 1964 and has been in Berlin since 2011. Christmas decorations in Berlin become a tour here, complete with unique capital city souvenirs.

At Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde in Lichtenberg, you can adopt almost any animal species. The money goes directly to the care of the animals, and the recipients receive a personal adoption certificate.

colorblind patterns is a Berlin label from Wedding, working exclusively in black and white. Hand screen-printed bags, lampshades, and fabric posters with geometric patterns are created in the studio on Antwerpener Straße.

kisui Berlin is actually a bridal fashion label, which is precisely why the gift box here is special: lace from France, sewn in Berlin, and vegan. The larger box costs 155 Euros, the smaller one 135 Euros; both contain a Piccolo and are therefore only available to adults. Frieda Hain on Gärtnerstraße at Boxhagener Platz combines a fabric store and a children's store under one roof. Myriam Kliewer has been running the shop since 2009 and sews school cones, sleeping sheep, name pillows and grow-with-me trousers from fabrics the customers pick themselves. Toys and GOTS-certified clothing round it off.

Between the Fountain of Friendship and the World Clock, Alexanderplatz divides into two worlds from November 23rd to December 26th, 2026: Wooden huts, fir garlands, and an evening light show glow by the fountain, while by the World Clock, converted containers offer street food from all over the world and there's an ice stock sport rink. Admission is free.

Wohlfarth Schokolade produces bean-to-bar chocolate in the Soldiner Kiez, and the shop is a glass manufactory where you can watch the conching process. Located on Goltzstraße in Schöneberg, you'll find arguably Berlin's most harmonious tea specialty shop: Tee Tea Thé Stammhaus brings together an official Ronnefeldt brand partner, a tea salon, and a café under one roof. Step inside and discover over 350 tea varieties, expert advice, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Werken Spielen Schenken is located directly at the Schloßstraße subway station in Steglitz and fills over 2,500 square meters with around 200,000 articles. The toy department alone measures 1,300 square meters, the craft area over 1,200 on two floors. For children's birthdays, the store sets aside the child's desired items in a dedicated gift box.

The Inge-Glas Manufaktur Store Berlin belongs to the Müller-Blech family, who have been working in glass craftsmanship since 1597 and hand-blow, internally silver-plate, and hand-paint their Christmas tree decorations in Neustadt bei Coburg. Around 15,000 historical glassblowing molds are available for this purpose. For Christmas decorations in Berlin, this means handmade unique pieces instead of mass-produced goods from a bulk pack.

At the claï studio ceramic atelier on Christinenstraße, Stefanie Opitz throws her own ceramics and teaches small groups on the potter's wheel. A one-day course costs 90 Euros, the four-part series costs 260 Euros, and vouchers are available for courses as well as for everything from her own collection. The atelier is located in a coach house in the backyard.

The first ever Ampelmann Shop is located in the fifth courtyard of the Hackesche Höfe, opened in 2001 for the fortieth birthday of the East German traffic light man. The brand started with lamps made from discarded traffic light glass; today, the assortment ranges from gummy bears to traffic light lamps. For Berlin souvenirs with a backstory, this is the address with the longest lineage.

Von und Zu Tisch on Auguststraße is a small deli with delicacies from many countries and from Berlin. Pre-packaged gift boxes cost between 15 and 34.50 Euros, a tasting in the store costs 59 Euros per person, and vouchers are available in three tiers as well as specifically for the in-store tasting. Since 2004, Supalife Kiosk on Raumerstraße has showcased Berlin's screen printing and illustration scene, supported since 2013 by an artist collective as a non-profit association.
