SYLD STORE Berlin

Friedrichshain has its own Berlin fashion multi-brand store: The SYLD STORE on Frankfurter Allee stands for local fashion design that shows attitude. Around 30 independent designers and artists share 100 square meters of curated space, where sustainable production is not a trend, but a basic condition.
Support Your Local Designers: The Concept Behind SYLD
The name is no coincidence. Behind SYLD is a promise: Support Your Local Designers & Artists. Inga Lieckfeldt launched SYLD STORE Berlin with full enthusiasm after her master’s studies, creating a place that brings Berlin fashion out of its niche. Spanning over 100 m², the store showcases creations by local talents, with every featured label required to demonstrate at least one sustainable aspect, be it through recycled materials, upcycling, or zero-waste production. So, anyone who believes sustainable Berlin fashion must look stuffy will be proven wrong here.
Furthermore, the offering goes far beyond classic clothing. The in-house “Easy Line” is created directly in the store from leftover materials, while “Second Life” gives upgraded vintage pieces new life. Custom-made items and the alteration of purchased pieces are also part of the service. This makes the store more than just a fashion shop: it is a workshop with a sales area.
SYLD STORE Berlin: Friedrichshain’s Answer to Berlin Fashion Shopping
Anyone who thinks good Berlin fashion is concentrated solely in Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg is greatly mistaken. After just three months of opening, tip Berlin, Germany’s largest city magazine, listed the store among the 16 best shops for fashion design, as the only store from Friedrichshain. Since then, the assortment has grown, but the concept has remained uncompromising. The offerings range from party outfits to accessories and everyday wear, with all pieces coming from independent labels. The concept also includes regular events where designers personally present their work. The atmosphere is supportive, the team enthusiastic, and focused on assisting shoppers in their search for special pieces.
