Halloween 2026 brings a particularly intense format with the Black Out Maze: On the evenings of October 30th and 31st, the entire Dungeon transforms into an almost completely darkened labyrinth of terror with live actors. Its location in the heart of Berlin-Mitte makes it an accessible destination for anyone looking for something truly dark on Halloween night. Tickets are available online for 20 Euros per person. All guests must show ID at the ticket office. Admission is strictly for ages 18 and over. Furthermore, the event is unfortunately not barrier-free.

Spooking in the Dark: When Light Becomes the Enemy

In the Black Out Maze, you are plunged into absolute darkness and left entirely to your own devices. You enter the corridors and dungeons alone or with friends, encountering grotesque figures from experiments. The core of the story: what lurks in the shadows is no longer human. A doctor has created human-insect hybrids, but control over them has slipped away. For orientation, there is only a small lamp. However, insects are known to be attracted to light – a pleasant side effect. Professional actors create realistic scenes: from absolute darkness to a loud, immersive soundscape. No speaking is involved, so the experience is language-independent. The duration of stay is between 30 and 80 minutes – depending on how quickly you find the exit. The Black Out Maze at Berlin Dungeon is thus one of the most intense Halloween events Berlin has to offer.
