Silvester-Special in der Astor Film Lounge

The 2017 New Year’s Eve Special at the Astor Film Lounge on Ku’Damm will feature the legendary crime comedy “The Pink Panther” with Henry Mancini’s famous music on early New Year’s Eve.

The plot is well-known: In an Italian ski resort, the English master thief “The Phantom” steals a world-famous diamond. The clumsy Inspector Clouseau, who witnesses the theft, wants to apprehend the thief. Unfortunately, his own wife is in cahoots with the Phantom…

Composer Henry Mancini was nominated for an Oscar in 1965 in the “Best Original Music” category and achieved worldwide fame. For lead actor Peter Sellers, the film marked his international breakthrough, and a separate animated series emerged from the animated opening credits.

Since the film begins at 18:00, the New Year’s Eve Special is more of an introduction to a long New Year’s Eve night, after which you can still go dancing somewhere.
