Anyone looking for an Irish pub with genuine live music in Wedding will find it at Leopoldplatz: Tipperary Berlin on Triftstraße combines Irish hospitality with a packed weekly program, a huge sun terrace, and bands that create a great atmosphere on Saturdays.

Tipperary Berlin: Authentic Irish Pub with Local Neighborhood Vibe in Wedding

Since 2013, the Irish pub has been located on the sunny corner of Triftstraße and Tegeler Straße and has long been more than just a bar. Its proximity to Beuth University attracts a student crowd, but on evenings with live music and pub quizzes, all age groups are represented. Owner Christian Schirren himself is not Irish but a true Berliner, while the staff, such as Tom, Sean, Gary, and Liam, are almost exclusively Irish and expertly explain the drinks menu.

Tipperary Berlin’s sun terrace seats 200 people, making it one of the largest in the neighborhood. The menu features original Irish Stew, Fish & Chips, and homemade burgers. Those who prefer to stay at the bar will find the in-house Tipperary Red Ale, which tastes particularly refreshing with a splash of cherry juice. There are also shots like the Irish Flag in green, white, and orange, or the Pralinchen, a mix of Licor 43 and espresso.

Live Music and Weekly Program at Irish Pub Wedding

Every Saturday from 20:00, bands alternate, admission is free, with a summer break from June to August. Eight different bands perform in rotation, including Liam Blaney, Joe Armstrong, and Me and Bobby McGee. Those who prefer to riddle rather than dance will get their money’s worth on Mondays: In the pub quiz “The Man in the Golden Jacket”, teams compete in five rounds of ten questions each, every Monday from 20:00.

Every Sunday, the neighborhood also gathers to watch Tatort together. In addition, there are live broadcasts of NFL, Bundesliga, Champions League, Premier League, Rugby, and Darts. Tipperary Berlin is thus one of the Irish pubs in Berlin that truly fills every weekday with a program, instead of just focusing on the weekend. The service during the visit was consistently friendly and attentive, with the team speaking primarily English – which simply makes sense for the international mix of guests in the pub.
